Designed and fabricated in USA; our goal was to design a set of Tacoma bed bars that work with a tonneau cover and create the strongest most versatile mounting system for our trucks. The thought was to have a universal design to mount anything from RTT’s, bikes, skis & snowboards, surfboards, lights, CB antennas, and more in any fashion the owner wants to.
We created the strongest bed bar mounting system out there that works with a cover. Designed in CAD utilizing finite element analysis.
Cross Bars:
Cross bars are made from 80mmx40mm (3.15” wide x 1.57” tall) 6560-T6 aluminum double wide t-slot rails and anodized black. There are two slots top and bottom and one front and back, for a total of 6 t-slots per cross bar. All the t-slots run the length of the bar, so you can mount anything anywhere. The cross bars utilize drop in t-slot hardware (links below) and supplied by us. Typical t-slot nuts will accommodate an M8-1.25 thread and slide perfectly to any location you need.
Uprights:
Uprights are laser cut from a high strength steel, CNC bent, then TIG welded and powder coated in a durable black wrinkle finish. The uprights mount directly to the Tacoma bed rail system using supplied t-nuts and high strength zinc coated hardware.
Hardware:
All external hardware is high strength stainless steel. There are 4 security bolts (TT40 bit) that hold each cross bar to the upright. Just remove the bolts to the bars and the cover can flip open with the uprights still mounted.
**If you have relocated utility tracks, such as the BakFlip covers, select Tacoma with BakFlip Covers option. Small trimming may be required depending on date of manufacture for BakFlip.**
